The Indosphere Foundation for World Affairs successfully organized a webinar titled "Decolonizing International Relations through Indigenous Perspectives from the Americas" on 26 June 2026 at 3:00 PM IST.
The session was delivered by Dr. Tripti Chowdhury, Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations at SGT University. The webinar focused on understanding the significance of Indigenous perspectives in reshaping the discipline of International Relations. Dr. Chowdhury highlighted the limitations of conventional Western-centric approaches and emphasized the importance of recognizing Indigenous knowledge systems, histories, and worldviews in developing a more inclusive and representative understanding of global politics. She also discussed how Indigenous communities have contributed to concepts of diplomacy, governance, environmental stewardship, and conflict resolution.
